Vision and Values

We have a vision. It is grounded in Jesus' words to, " . . . Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you . . . " (Matthew 28:19, 20 NIV)
We extend an invitation for people to enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ that will change their lives.
We strive to be a BELIEVING church. This statement speaks to the importance of truth. While there are many belief systems in existence, it is imperative that we distinguish between truth and fiction. The Bible is our all-sufficient source for truth, when it comes to understanding who God is and what He wants to communicate to us. A thorough search for truth is imperative if we are to distinguish ourselves from other philosophies and world-views. Believing the right things about God forms the foundation for our values, morality and ethics. We strive to be a Believing church.
We endeavor to be a BECOMING church. We have not arrived, we are on a journey. The process starts by becoming "born again." Accepting Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior awakens within an individual the expectancy that better things are ahead. By recognizing that we are in process, we exhibit the necessary patience and compassion for those who may not be as far along in the process as others. While in the process of "becoming" we share our victories and are encouraged past our failures. Becoming is a process filled with hope. We want any and all who come to our fellowship to be inspired to grow.
We emphasize the importance of BELONGING. Significant relationships enhance our lives. The importance of an arm around our shoulder, a listening ear and comforting word cannot be underestimated. Knowing that we are accompanied by like-minded individuals on our journey helps us to stay on track. Sharing the joys and sorrows of others, while experiencing the same kind of support, enriches our experience of life. God did not create us to be alone. He has surrounded us with others who can offer us fellowship, camaraderie, motivation and support. We want to help each other find a place to belong.
We are a BIRTHING church. We believe that God wants to use us to do something new in our generation. God is creative and has imparted to us a yearning to be creative ourselves. By offering our gifts, talents and skills to Him, he uses us to bring new things into existence. New relationships, ministries, worship expressions and discipleship opportunities are all examples of birthing new thing things for God.

- A vision is necessary to insure that all resources are being channeled for a purpose.
- A vision insures that all are working together and walking in agreement.
- A vision unites us when our progress is threatened. Vision is essential.
