Why Become A Member?

Membership in the local Body of Christ is the privilege of identification and an acceptance of responsibility that comes from making a commitment to the Lord and to one another.

Life in the Body of Christ begins by a spiritual identity with the church universal, "For we are members of His Body" (Eph. 5:30), and is continued with a definite identification with a local body, "For we are members one of another" (Eph. 4:25).

The leadership of this local church has made a commitment to the people of God “to feed the flock of God, taking the oversight thereof" (I Peter 5:2). In turn, the sheep of the flock make a commitment to the body, its ministry, and to one another. With membership comes commitment, responsibility, and joining together in one spirit with other believers in this locality to further the Kingdom of God in unity. Every member is being fitly joined together to form a habitation of God, through the Spirit.



What are the benefits of being a Member?

There are a number of benefits available to you as a member of the church. Along with the satisfaction of knowing you are a part of a dynamic ministry reaching the lost for Christ, you are entitled to some personal benefits as well. As a member:

You will be given the privilege of voting on significant issues that are brought before the membership

You will be given preference to serve in our various ministries over non-members who may be equally qualified

If you have children attending Christian Hills School you will receive a 10% discount on tuition

You and/or your college bound children will be eligible to apply for a
Christian Hills Education Assistance Program Scholarship to help pay for a college education. Applications may be made using the form provided in the information rack in the lobby. The deadline for applying is the first Sunday in May

You will qualify to be considered for a position on our School board

You will be eligible to serve as a Deacon or Elder if you meet the eligibility requirements



How Do I Become A Member?

STEP 1. Fill out a Membership Application
STEP 2. Sign Up for one of our membership classes

That's it! After completing the membership class, if you meet the requirements, you will be inducted as a member of our church.
